The Latest on CMS ruling on Obesity counseling.....
CMS responded to the Academy’s petition to the White House regarding intensive behavioral counseling for obesity. An all-member communication from Academy President, Sylvia Escott-Stump, MA RD LD, was sent out March 28, 2012. Once again the Academy asked members to “Take Action” by communicating with their elected officials. MDA members were sent e-blasts requesting that they reach out today and ask their Congressional leaders to stand up for the effectiveness of registered dietitians. The link to submit letters online was sent and it really did just take a few minutes to do. Link: http://www.eatright.org/members/actioncenter.aspx
