Members, Do you know of a person that is deserving of the 2011 MDA award of Excellence for Nutrition Advocacy? If so, please consider submitting a nomination for this award by April 15th, 2011 at 5 pm. For information about this award and the nomination process click here for the document. The Montana Dietetic Association (MDA) is a non-profit professional organization that represents registered dietitians in the state of Montana. The MDA members provide nutrition services in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, public health, school food service, private practice, long-term care facilities, senior centers, universities, and community organizations. The state association is the local affiliate of the American Dietetic Association (ADA). To become a member of the MDA, you must be a current member of the ADA and choose Montana as your affiliate state. The MDA has approximately 250 members, and is governed by a Board of Directors. In addition to providing education programs for members, the MDA is involved with nutrition-related legislative issues that impact registered dietitians and the public.
